Facebook

Facebook pages provide another free advertising opportunity to leverage – the Facebook page. Facebook now has more users than the population of China, reports Wordstream. It provides a ready-to-buy audience of 1.49 billion users who generate 22 billion ads clicks per year. Growing your following organically can take time. Buying followers just increase a number, not your interactions. Facebook provides a low-cost way to advertise your page to a bevy of targeted users, though. Spending $1 a day on Facebook ads gets your page in front of 4,000 users. Facebook offers unrivaled targeting. You can market to an audience based upon its age, behaviors, connections, demographics, languages, locations, or a combination of these factors. It generates effective returns on re-marketing to those who already visited your site and targeting “lookalike audiences.”

Don’t worry if you don’t already have a Facebook page. You can create one on a mobile device or computer in just a few clicks. You’ll need information similar to that used for your Google My Business page, plus a few photos. To create a Facebook page, you’ll need:

  • business name
  • business address
  • business hours,
  • phone number,
  • directions
  • profile photo of 170 x 170 pixels
  • cover photo of at least 399 by 150 pixels (width by height)
  • content.

Don’t get hung up on the content. Simply use your Facebook Page to announce and link to content updates on your website and other social media. You can link your Instagram and Twitter to your Facebook Page, so updates to the other social media automatically appear on the Facebook Page, too.

If you want to thrill your followers and further induce them to visit more and recommend you to friends, offer special content on Facebook. You can stream live video from Facebook, host games, and offer special promotions. Announce these on your website and other social media, plus market them with a Facebook ad. You’ll convert more visitors and gain page likes by offering content on your Facebook page that people can’t get elsewhere.
